You don’t have to rough it or beg friends to sleep on their sofa to save a ton of money traveling. During our Big Ride we stayed in a hotel 101 nights. While the average hotel rate nationwide is well over $100, we averaged $38 a night (before taxes) on our hotels. We have a system that works really well.
